Gabe Hutchinson has spent more than a decade building a career in litigation, known for his strategic thinking, calm presence under pressure and willingness to take on complex matters. He began at a large firm on the Sunshine Coast before taking the leap to establish Clutch Legal, with a vision of creating a firm that combines elite capability with a refreshingly down-to-earth approach.
He is particularly drawn to complex commercial disputes and racing and sports-related matters, where the pace is fast, the stakes are high, and the details matter. Clients value his straightforward advice, meticulous preparation, and ability to see several moves ahead, qualities that consistently translate into strong outcomes.
Gabe also has significant experience in construction disputes and property litigation.
Equally important to Gabe is mentoring the next generation of lawyers. Outside the office, Gabe loves the Brisbane Broncos and all related genres and sub-genres of punk rock. In his spare moments, you’ll find him anywhere from the singing cauldron of Suncorp Stadium to the sticky floors of The Triffid.
But nothing is more important to Gabe than his wife and his two young boys. True happiness is found at the bottom of a coffee cup, reading the form guide paper, while two boys sleep after Saturday morning swim lessons.
